Kerry Brennan – COURSE TUTOR/STUDENT SERVICES
Kerry has been working in the language field for many
years. She has worked with and taught children and adults from various
backgrounds. Initially she worked as a speech therapist in NYC and dealt with
only bilingual and multilingual children. Throughout that time, she continued
her education by extending her B.S. degree in speech therapy to be able to
understand better and work with the bilingual/multi-lingual population and was
trained in ESL. After several years of working within this context she decided
to learn more about living and adapting to other cultures just as many of her
students had. She first embarked upon this adventure in Mexico and then later
moved to Spain. In order to be certified to teach in other countries she
completed her TEFL certificate with INTESOL in 2005. Upon completing the course,
she continued to teach English in a variety of contexts and later went on to
complete her MA degree in Applied Linguistics at the University of Barcelona.
Currently, she continues: teaching English to adults and children, studying
languages and learning about different cultures as well as conducting research
and finally has become part of the INTESOL team in Barcelona.

Jonathan Davies – COURSE TUTOR
Jon, originally from Exeter in England, has been involved in language teaching since 1991. He graduated from Middlesex University in London with an Honours degree in French and Spanish with modules in TEFL, following this with a PGCE in Modern Languages and TEFL in 1994. After teaching in Bilbao, Toulouse and Oporto, he moved to Barcelona in 1995 to teach at the British Council Young Learners' Centre, developing an expertise in Classroom Management for children and adolescents, about which he has written articles and given presentations.
Over ten years later, he believes that it is important for teacher trainers not to "lose touch", so continues to teach English at the two main Universities in Barcelona, as well as at the University of Exeter in the summers.
